Brook House, Hassocks, East Sussex
Set within an existing woodland we were commissioned to design and create a large, immersive, family orientated garden that celebrated the beauty of the natural world. Raised Oak walkways lead you through the garden, connecting the house gardens to the oak decked sauna garden, through a wildflower meadow and down to the swimming pool garden. Deep planted borders, sweeping lawns and wildflower meadows flow throughout.
Native biodiversity was prioritised: birds, bees, butterflies. Wildflower meadows managed with annual cuts and rotational mowing.
No chemical treatments; organic soil conditioning and natural pest control. The planting is designed for resilience and natural evolution over time. Mulching and companion planting reduce weeding and watering needs.
