The Pergola Garden
Working closely with the clients we redesigned the lawn, surrounding borders and the connecting paved area. Deep borders and a gentle curving lawn created a ‘lawn garden’ within the wider garden. A large pergola was designed to create a cool shaded area for dining and relaxing with climbers trained up and over the pergola creating natural dappled shade.
The pergola is constructed using local Sussex Douglas Fir
"We chose Ben for the redesign of our garden as we felt he combined an excellent aesthetic sense with a true love for and knowledge of plants - very high on our priorities! We had a few really tricky areas, particularly a dank horrid patio in deep shade. This was completely transformed by Ben and is now a gorgeous tranquil space and one of our most loved areas.
